On Thursday, November 11 Voices for Utah Children participated in a media event to release The Utah Compact, a set of five principles to guide Utah's immigration discussion. It has a groundswell of community support, including Gov. Walker, Gov. Bangerter, Sen. Jake Garn, Rep. Jim Hansen, mayors of large cities, dozens of business leaders, the United Way and Voices for Utah Children.

Several organizations and individuals came together over the past several months to develop The Utah Compact. It is an expression of our values and creates a clear, concise and positive framework for addressing a broken federal immigration system. The purpose of the Compact is to create civil, compassionate and constructive dialogue to move forward on this issue.
