What was your favorite hobby or extracurricular activity as a child, and did you pursue it further later in life?

I love to perform. As a child I spent a lot of time in musical theater. I have done lots of singing and speaking as an adult too!

What was your favorite meal or dish that your family would make, and do you still enjoy it today?

FAVORITE MEAL: Always steak with A1 sauce and garlic bread.

What was your favorite thing about being a child, and do you try to hold onto that spirit as an adult?

I was always recklessly confident. Rather than needing to prove I was good at things, I always believed I was good at things until proven otherwise!

What was the most challenging experience you faced as a child, and how did you overcome it?

I changed schools several times in elementary and each time, I had to convince everyone that my birthmark was not a tool for bullying, but instead something really cool about me. This was something that never became a big problem, but it was something I always had to aware of and on top of everywhere I went as a child. I knew if I could control the conversation, I would be ok.

What was the most valuable lesson you learned as a child, and how has it influenced your life today?

As a 5 year old, I remember panicking about cutting my finger until something amazing occurred to me. I have parents and hospitals and bandaids and all kinds of things to help me, so--I'm going to be OK. The peace of mind of knowing that I'm going to be OK because I have a strong support system is core to everything I do. I recognize that not every kid has the kind of support system that has brought me such peace of mind. I'd like to help our community to provide the solid foundation every kid needs to in order to know that they are going to be ok.

What was your favorite toy or game to play with as a child?

I always loved to play store as a kiddo! I loved to come up with different products and use our pretend credit card and cash register!
