Doug Thomas (he, him, él) is a Community Health Director at Intermountain Health focused on Children’s Health issues which include mental well-being and suicide prevention, as well as supporting efforts to address health equity, social drivers of health, food scarcity, chronic disease, and injury prevention.

Previously, Doug worked as a psych tech, human service worker, case manager, crisis worker, social worker, designated examiner, County Director and State Director in Utah's public mental health system. His work focuses on implementing community health needs assessment priorities for Children’s Health across the communities where Intermountain Health operates. He is passionate about community and public health, and policy work that impacts the intersectionality of risk and protective factors in physical, mental, community, and social determinants of health work.

Doug loves spending time with his wife, 2 children (and their spouses), their dog and cat, soccer, running/hiking, reading historical biographies, serving in his church and community, listening to a wide variety of music, and eating good food.
