Liz Owens is the CEO of YWCA Utah, where she has lead the organization since 2020 in its mission to eliminate racism, empower women, and promote peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. Under her leadership, the YWCA works to advance gender and racial equity through advocacy, education, and support services for women and families.
Liz brings a deep commitment to human rights and social justice, grounded in years of work with underrepresented communities, including women of color, LGBTQ+ youth, immigrants, and survivors of violence. She holds a BS in Sociology from Utah Valley University and an MA in Human Rights from the University of Essex in the UK.
