Tax & Budget Policy Analyst

- Salary Range: $55,000–$70,000 annually DOE

About the Position
We are seeking a highly motivated Tax and Budget Policy Analyst committed to advancing policies that improve outcomes for children and families. This position will lead research, analysis, and advocacy related to Utah's tax system, state budget, and economic policies impacting children and families. The Analyst will provide rigorous policy analysis, develop public-facing reports and presentations, and serve as a trusted resource for policymakers, advocates, media, and community partners.
This position offers an opportunity to influence state policy, shape public dialogue, and advance solutions that promote economic opportunity and well-being for Utah's children.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in economics, public policy, public administration, political science, finance, or a related field.
- Two or more years of experience in policy analysis, research, budgeting, taxation, government, nonprofit advocacy, or a related field.
- Experience using data analysis tools such as Tableau, GIS, R, or similar platforms.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in public policy, economics, public administration, or a related field.
- Experience working with state budgets, tax policy, or fiscal analysis.
- Familiarity with Utah public policy and the state legislative process.
Immigrant Family Policy Analyst

We are seeking to hire an experienced, collaborative, and passionate Immigrant Family Policy Analyst with a deep commitment to equity, inclusion, and child well-being. This position will lead our work advancing policies that strengthen immigrant and refugee children and families across Utah.
The successful candidate will conduct policy research and analysis, build strong relationships with community organizations, engage directly with immigrant families, and advocate for practical policy solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to help shape state and local policy while working alongside respected advocates, researchers, legislators, educators, healthcare providers, and community leaders.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Social Work, Public Admin, Law, Sociology, Economics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in public policy, advocacy, research, community organizing, or nonprofit leadership.
- Excellent research, analytical, writing, public speaking, and presentation abilities.
- Prior experience working directly with immigrant or refugee communities, with a demonstrated ability to build trust across highly diverse communities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate degree in a related field.
- Deep understanding of immigration policy and Utah's legislative process.
- Bilingual or multilingual proficiency.
- Experience using data analysis and visualization tools.
